On top if it all, CDC confirms that hospital-acquired infections affect approximately 2 million persons and result in nearly 88,000 deaths each year in the United States alone.
Hospitals and healthcare facilities across the globe have been stretched beyond limits and pressed to do more with less by finding new ways to address old problems more cost-effectively.
