Johnson Medical International awarded the first turnkey project for mobile cancer screening unit

Johnson Medical International has recently been awarded the turnkey contract to design, build and supply a Mobile Cancer Screening Unit for Majlis Kanser Nasional (MAKNA).

MAKNA or National Cancer Council is a non profit organization, with its main objective "to pool and utilize all efforts, expertise and finance from all sectors of the society, to fight cancer and reduce related pain, morbidity and the suffering that cancer patients undergo.

An estimated 40,000 new cancer cases are registered yearly. Hope is not lost as 30% - 50% of cancer cases can be prevented by practicing a healthy lifestyle, early detection and seeking the right treatment if necessary. This is where the Mammography machine comes in. A mammogram is an X-ray photograph of the breast. It can detect calcifications and fibro adenomas of tissue in the breast.

Johnson Medical International is working with GE Healthcare who is the primary supplier of the Mammography Unit. They will be bring along their latest model, which is the 250 Senographe® 2000D Full-Field Digital Mammography systems

This unit will sit in our customized expandable container which will we transported on a prime mover. The container will designed to accommodate a reception lounge, two examination rooms, a screening room, a toilet and a storage room. 

The flooring of the container will be finished by a layer of anti-static, anti-homogenous vinyl and the walls will be equipped with High Pressured Laminate (HPL) boards.
